Our festival dates have moved to February, but to help you combat your withdrawal symptoms, we have programmed a series of trailblazer events at the University of Salford at MediaCityUK. As usual, we aim to keep our tickets at affordable so all events are £3.50 full / £3.00 concs.

48 Hours Filmmaking Panel Discussion

Find out what it takes to make an award winning movie in 2 days, with plenty of anecdotes, clips, tips and illustrations and lots of opportunities to ask your questions to our guests.
Guests include Phil Hawkins (Director, Being Sold) Mercedes Crescenti (Producer, Being Sold), 2009 exposures award winner Will McGregor (Director, No Escape), and Jackie Thompson (Producer and Writer, The Girl is Mime).

Winner of best Film and best Actor at the London Independant Film Festival, this dark comedy was shot in just two days.

Panel Discussion / Getting a job in TV & Broadcast

With the move of major broadcasters (BBC and ITV) to MediaCity and the wealth of independent production companies in the region, the North provides numerous opportunities for emerging filmmaking and content production talent. But what does it take to get your foot in the door and build a career in the media and broadcast industries?
Guest include independent filmmaker Paul Sapin; BBC Executive Producer Mike Lewis; Production Designer Anthea Nelson and Researcher at Nine Lives Media and exposures alumni Clare Judge.
