Programme

The 2008 edition of the festival will take place at Cornerhouse and Urbis 23 – 27 November and the full programme will be published at the end of October.

We are very proud to announce that renowned writer and executive producer Paul Abbott (Cracker, Shameless, State of Play and many more) is the Patron of this year’s festival. Paul Abbott continually supports many young people to become writers and he will create some innovative and exciting workshops and hands-on sessions for exposures’ 15th birthday.

We are already working on an exciting programme of workshops, inviting guests from the creative industries who can give you tips on how to succeed in your career of choice. We’re also looking ahead to what MediaCity, the future new media centre in Salford which will open in 2010/11, will be offering the students of today.

For 2008, as well as seeing your work on the big screens at Cornerhouse and in Urbis’ exhibition spaces, you can also look forward to

devising original screen music

networking with professionals and fellow student filmmakers in informal settings

taking the challenge to speed pitch your ideas to heads of BBC departments, independents and C4

Studio tours at Channel M and BBC Manchester

A collaboration with The Media Festival, which takes place alongside exposures in Manchester: even more chance to meet up with professionals
